Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday is the day we recall the Last Supper of our Lord, the event in the life of Jesus which forms the basis for the Eucharist. 

At Saint James, Fr Paul offers the tradition of foot washing to remind ourselves to love one another as God has loved us. This is not a mandatory part of the service — simply witnessing the foot washing is beautiful. 

As we break the bread and share the cup, as we experience or witness the foot washing, we are reminded to go beyond the many barriers that divide us and serve our fellow sisters & brothers in love.  

After mass everyone is invited to join us for a simple meal in the Parish Hall.
